A late dev log and moving to another platform
Hi all,
Apologies for a late dev log, unfortunately a few things cropped up in my personal life that needed to be taken care of last week that had to be prioritized, which has also meant not much progress has been made on Kurabiyem either. That being said, I believe that while things are very much in the early stages, now would be the best time to potentially jump ship to a different engine/framework. I've been using Unity on and off for years now, however I'm currently stuck on what is considered a "gaming laptop" for the foreseeable future and I can assure you it's not a fan of having a code editor like Rider open and my constant tweaks and adjustments to my Unity scripts. There's plenty of times that I've had to wait several minutes in between minor script changes and honestly at this point, I'm wanting to move away from a bulky engine. I'm currently considering my options, but I'm leaning towards either Monogame or Godot. I'd prefer something lightweight that my laptop can handle, so I'll experiment with both. This isn't a statement of abandoning this project; I just believe it would be better served being built in a different framework. Once I've done a bit of investigating on my side, I'll inform everyone once there's a new demo ready.
Thank you for your patience.
